Stump Removal – Stump Grinding:

We use a powerful machine called a stump grinder. This machine chews up the tree or shrub stump leaving just woodchip, which is left on site as nutritious mulch. We carry out work for private individuals, Country Estates, Land Management Companies, Building Companies, Gardeners, Landscapers and many more.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will it cost anything to get a quote?
No, if you are within the Perthshire area we will come out to you and give you a quote free of charge and can also be discussed at the time of quotation for tree work.
Do you remove all the roots spreading out from the main stump?
No we don’t remove all the tree roots. We just remove the main stump to a t least 6 inches below ground level. We can grind down any spreading surface roots if it is specified in the quote.
Can I plant over the old stump?
Yes, in most cases you can seed, plant, pave or fence directly over the ground where the stump has been ground down.
What is the cost of Stump Grinding?
In most cases tree stump removal cost is down to the size of the stump(s) measured across their widest point at ground level. For very small jobs there is a minimum stump removal cost.
Will the tree grow back?
In most cases the tree will not grow back. Sycamore is sometimes problematic, we may at the time of quotation, discuss the option of treating the stump chemically rather than grinding it out.
What about underground services, which might be effected?
Most services should be below the depth we would grind to. In our terms and conditions it states that the customer must inform us of any underground services in the area that we are to be working.
